Eton Reef Developments – Background

Our client is an experienced property professional who wishes to source development funding for a residential subdivision on the main island of Efate, Vanuatu.

The problem

Property development experience and equity was very sound however following the GFC, risk averse commercial lenders had very little appetite for subdivision funding.

Our solution

Our relationship across the banks in Vanuatu, enabled us to ascertain the most appropriate lender for this transaction. Through careful structuring and allowing sufficient time for mutual understanding, we were successful in sourcing an effective financing package that balanced the conflicting risk appetites of lender versus developer.

What he said

‘We selected Gayle because of her detailed knowledge and experience with how Banks perceive funding opportunities and associated risk.’

‘With Gayle’s assistance we were able to identify and address Bank perceived risk issues.’

‘The funding application prepared by Gayle was personalised for the project and ourselves as the borrower in a format that was clear and concise. Because of the quality and content of the loan application it was approved within a short time frame, terms and conditions were what we had expected’.
